Children's Dentistry in Aptos was founded by Dr. Stephen Fehrman over 50 years ago. Dr. Alison Jackson purchased the practice in 2004 and has continued the tradition of practicing sound fundamental dentistry and outstanding patient care. She works hard to support a new generation of healthy children and bright smiles in Santa Cruz County.
Dr. Alison Jackson
Dr. Jackson began practicing pediatric dentistry in 2000 and moved to her current office in 2003. She earned her DDS from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco and completed her specialty training in pediatrics at UCLA where she was chief resident. Dr. Jackson is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She emphasizes preventive dentistry and patient education as the most important methods for preventing dental disease and has found a perfect fit for this philosophy here in Aptos.
Dr. Jackson has extensive experience in all phases of Pediatric Dentistry. She was a guest lecturer at UCLA where she discussed women in dentistry, practice management and other issues unique to pediatric practices. She has served on the board of directors for the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry and for the Monterey Bay Dental Society. In 2009, Dr. Jackson received the distinguished honor of being named Dentist of the Year by the Monterey Bay Dental Society.
In 2013, '14 and '16, Dr. Jackson won the Santa Cruz Sentinel Reader's Choice Award for Best Dentist and in 2022 she was chosen by Growing Up in Santa Cruz readers as a Family Favorite. She brings both professional experience and compassion to her practice.
Dr. Jackson loves the outdoors. She grew up sailing and still finds time to get out on the water with her family when she can. She's an avid runner and participates in the Monterey Bay Half marathon every year. When she has time off, she enjoys travel and off-road adventures with her husband.

Stephanie has been working in the dental field since 2001. In her free time, she likes to bake and take her two dogs on adventures throughout Santa Cruz county. At work, she likes the opportunity to follow the adventures and achievements of our patients as they grow up. She's happy to be part of a team that helps them build confidence and allows them to be comfortable in a dental setting.

Dental Assistant
Sara has been a Dental Assistant for 8 years. In her free time, she likes to hang out with her family and her dogs. While at work, she enjoys finding good toys for the kids and decorating the office for holidays. She works hard to make the office a fun and comfortable environment for our patients!
